Home-School Main
A successful home-education plan looks at three, equally important elements.
  • Curriculum- What content is taught and what materials will be used to teach that content.
  • Instructional Style- Curriculum goes only so far to address the "how" with teaching a student. Some students need have a relaxed teaching structure that is self-paced, while others need a strict schedule. Some are visual learners, some learn by doing, others learn by hearing. Instructional style addresses these needs.
  • Teaching Environment- The kitchen table may not be the ideal instructional environment for every home-learner. Looking at the right teaching setting is integral in helping a student make the most of their home education.
"For the first time, I feel like we truly understand my son's learning challenges and have a plan in place to work on it."
